Feel you from the inside I wanna be your shine Know you from the outside I wanna stick around What I accept with open arms I'd do it all again What I can't see with open eyes Why do we still pretend? Your distance is a part of me A part of me Your distance is a part of me A part of me Seen you from a distance Been dodging the question Know you from a past life Been looking for something What I accept with open arms I'd do it all again What I can't see with open eyes Why do we still pretend? Your distance is a part of me A part of me Your distance is a part of me A part of me Your distance is a part of me A part of me Your distance is a part of me A part of me But I can't find a reason Why I'd ever go back again

about

"Somehow, Always" came together during the early months of the pandemic, as we began demoing songs we had written around the time of the first lockdown. It is the product of forced periods of self-reflection, brought upon by quarantine and self-isolation measures. Left alone, we started to hold a magnifying-glass up to past relationships, friendships, and our own identities, in a newly honest and often brutal way. We both found ourselves anxious and pessimistic about the changing and unstable world around us. The songs on this EP are less an attempt to overcome that change, and the loss and the fear that accompany it, but more to make peace with it, in our own deeply personal way.
